Chef David Hawksworth will be one of the featured chefs at the ICCA Culinary Immersion in Vancouver from September 22 - 23, 2016. He self describes his first restaurant as "contemporary Canadian Cuisine". Through his European training and techniques with a focus on local ingredients and Canadian ingredients that are both organic and sustainable, Hawksworth has created an upscale restaurant highly regarded by critics and locals alike. Hawksworth worked his way through several Michelin starred European restaurants over the course of a decade before returning home to Vancouver. Four-time winner of Best Upscale Restaurant in Vancouver Magazine’s Restaurant Awards, Hawksworth Restaurant is glamorous and elegant, yet relaxed and welcoming with warm and attentive service. Hawksworth Restaurant is located in the legendary Rosewood Hotel Georgia so it is open for breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner, with in bar dining menus and its own private rooms. The food was amazing as was the presentations, but most of all the chef is a leader of the culinary community. He even offers a paid scholarship to future chefs.
